Erika Costell hung out with AdultFreshman – and it’s not our typical interview. Erika recently moved from Tennessee, where she’s finishing up her degree at MTSU, to Los Angeles. For many people a transition like this in their twenties can cause serious fear, homesickness and anxiety. For others, an opportunity to move beyond their comfort zone allows them to thrive. Erika is one of those “others.” She’s knocking down walls harder than a bulldozer on a destruction site. Ever since her plane landed, Erika has been proactive in meeting new people and fostering a vibrant life around her modeling career. We asked her about everything from her inspiration to her biggest pet peeve at the gym.

Which previous models and/or challenges inspired you to pursue modeling?
My old manager, Larry Murdock, is the reason I started modeling. When I was 16, he took me to a photo shoot (even though I never thought I could be a model) and ever since that day I fell in love with being behind the camera. He is now in heaven watching over me and my career, thank God for that man.

What’s the last song you listened to?
Love yourself by Justin Bieber

What is your favorite part about modeling?
The feeling I get when I step behind the camera is pretty unexplainable, it’s the best adrenalin rush ever. I am truly the most comfortable when I am shooting!

What’s your favorite quote?
“Fear ends where faith begins.”

Have you been able to attend any cool parties since moving to California? What celebrity would you most want to party with?
Yes! I love living in LA, there is always something fun going on. Last weekend I was invited to a party at the Playboy mansion, it was an awesome experience! I really don’t party much, but I would love to party with Gigi Hadid!

What’s the funniest TV show or movie you’ve ever seen?

What is one unusual fact about Erika?
I still have a baby tooth!

What’s your biggest gym pet peeve?
When guys try to hit on girls at the gym…I feel so awkward.

What’s next for you – are there any projects that you are excited about?
Yes! Right now I am in a contest for a company called ModelHostess, if I win I will get my first campaign here in LA! Please feel free to help me stay in first place!
